What’s your background and what kind of art are you working on?
Well my art concentrates on anime in general, I draw both girls and boys as shown on my profile. I try to make my drawings as cute as possible because that how i like my style. I also like to make my pieces aesthetic, it's so important to catch viewers attention
How do you do that?
Colors!! I like to make my drawings very colorful. The way I present my page is very important too, things like lighting and picture quality.
What motivated you to get started with your art
I’ve been drawing since I was a kid so you can say that art is my passion and it is everything to me. I love what I'm doing so I’m always motivated. Followers play a big role in motivating me as well. They've been sharing my posts, commenting on them and mentioning me on their artists support stories.
So what went into building your art into a business
Well at first I was drawing for fun but then I saw some people doing commissions. I thought it would be a great idea to do the same. I'm using several apps / websites to do commissions because the more accounts you have the more you'll get noticed by people. Other than instagram I'm using Twitter and ko-fi but I'm planning on making a Facebook page when I grow enough on instagram.
Is it hard running all of those platforms on your own?
Yes it is kinda hard I need to have lots of spare time because I don't think that posting the same content everywhere is cool. I have to create more art if I want to run several accounts.
What's your business model, and how have you grown your revenue?
I tried making some adoptables but it seems like I need to grow more to sell them. These are characters designed by artists. They create them to be sold and the characters can be animals, humans or spirits. It's an easy way to make money but you must have lots of followers. If you don't nobody will notice them. Right now I'm relying on commissions and thats been working well.
What are your goals for the future?
I want to improve my traditional art abilities. I also need more experience with anatomy and realistic art. If I get the chance I want to learn digital art and animation as well!
What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced and obstacles you’ve overcome?
Actually I haven't faced any serious obstacles up until now but I was only focused on drawing girls. I wasn't confident enough to draw guys until I did the art bend challenge where my followers asked me to draw some guys. After that everything changed so I guess trying new things isn’t bad at all.
How do you like your art career?
I’ve earned a small amount of money, discovered my own art style and made new artist friends who frequently inspire me. It’s been a good experience so far!
Do you have any advice for artists who are just starting out?
Yes!! Just never give up, do what you love, and practice a lot because good things take time.
Where can we go to find more of your work?
My ko-fi is muffin_soda and Twitter is muffin_kitten check them out!
We appreciate your support
